Our planet is becoming increasingly urban. Around 60% of people live in cities around the world, yet cities harbor plenty of wildlife. Cities around the world are also realizing the importance of protecting and sustaining ecologically resilient landscapes as buffers against climate change, for human health benefits, and as corridors for wildlife.

How do birds utilize and survive in urban spaces? We have worked on questions related to bird collisions with glass, avian use of city parks, and how nesting shorebirds react to people using city beaches.
